Rustom Movie Has Many Differences From Real Life Sensational Case Of K M Nanavati!
‘Rustom’ Movie, which released this Friday, has been based on one of the most intensive cases in the history of Indian judiciary, K M Nanavati Case. In 1959, when City Tabloid ‘Blitz’, published the headline, ‘Three Shots That Shook The Nation’ which included the name of K.M Nanavati. The news has a shock the nation and garnered a lot of political and media reaction.
The movie actually seemed like a biopic but the director has confirmed in the opening scene only that it is not a biopic. As he has only taken the references from the movie and did some twist and turns in the movie. This movie is garnering rave response at the Box-Office and even won the hearts of critics and audience.
Overall, the movie is a good watch but it is not at all same like the actual incident. In the movie, it was shown that Akshay Kumar says, ‘Not Guilty’ in the court even after hitting three bullets to ‘Vikram Makhija’. He even takes up his own case in front of the judge but in real K M Nanavati Case was defended by a lawyer, Karl Khandavala. In real, the prosecution was led by Ram Jethmalani.
The movie plot has also been twisted inorder to make the story more intriguing for the cinema lovers. Overall, it’s for the entertainment purpose and so it has been shot in a mainstream way. It is not a documentary so you will not find the real facts same in the movie.
Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, the film also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Arjan Bajwa and Esha Gupta in lead roles.
