CONFIRMED! Rishi Kapoor’s last film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ to hit theatres
Late Bollywood veteran Rishi Kapoor will be seen on the big screen for the one last time in the film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’.
Producers of the film have decided to release the film in theatres, though the last schedule of the shoot for Rishi Kapoor was pending.
Speaking about the film, co-producer Honey Trehan said, “Rishi Kapoor had shot a major portion of the film in January in Delhi. A four-day schedule was pending but we will manage it through VFX and with the use of technology without compromising on quality.”
Trehan also thanked Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar for putting financial and emotional support in the film.
Sharmaji Namkeen revolves around a sexagenarian who discovers the joy of life after retirement. Actress Juhi Chawla is the female lead in the film. She also penned an emotional note for the late legend.

Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30th at the HN Reliance hospital in Mumbai. He was battling cancer since 2018. He underwent treatment for a year in US.
