Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer not in HURRY to apply for bail in High Court
It has been six days since Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection to the drugs angle linked to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide case. The actress’ advocate Satish Maneshinde, however, had applied two times to get his clients bail but each time the Mumbai Session Court rejected the bail plea, thus, giving rise to the speculations that they might move to high Court to get the solace in the alleged drug case. But refuting the media claims, Rhea’s lawyer revealed that they are in no hurry to apply for bail in the High Court.
According to a report, Rhea and Showik’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, released a statement where he turned down the rumours speculating his next move to apply for bail plea in High Court after the previous two bails were rejected by a special court on Wednesday and Friday, respectively. Satish Maneshinde’s statement read, “Even if we get a copy of the Order today, we are not in a hurry and moving immediately… we will study the order, it’s implications and developments in the case at the NCB level and then decide. There’s no room for speculation… once it is filed we will share a copy of the bail application.”
To note, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on September 8 following a three day NCB questioning in a row while her brother Showik was arrested following a raid at his residence. Now both the accused are serving 14-days judicial custody under NCB and are lodged at Byculla Jail and Taloja jail, respectively.
Meanwhile, Rhea has given name of 15 B’town celebs to the NCB officials while she was interrogated over her drug links in connection to Sushant’s death case. After which the NCB found out that there are celebrities in the film industry who procure illegal substances and are also involved in its dealing, where they supply drugs to other as well. After these crucial findings NCB’s focus has now shifted on the drug cartel in B’town. The report also states that the ‘Sonali Cables’ actress has also identified some celebrities who do and deal in drugs.
