Drug Case: Rhea Chakraborty’s judicial custody extended till October 6
One of the prime accused in Sushant Singh Rajput death case and also guilty of procuring and consuming illegal substances, Rhea Chakraborty, has once again denied bail by the Mumbai High Court, on Tuesday, the day when her 14-days-long judicial custody was supposed to end. The ‘Jalebi’ actress was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau, probing drug angle in late actor’s case, on September 8, under several drug charges and was denied bail twice by Magistrate and session court of Mumbai.
Rhea’s bail plea was reportedly rejected on the bases of the possibility that the actress might alert the rest of the convicts involved in the case and also could destroy important evidences. As per reports, Rhea in her statement during NCB questioning had given out names of 15 Bollywood celebrities who are speculated to be send summon by the agency for further questioning.
As per the latest reports, Rhea’s bail plea has been rejected thrice while the court has also extended her judicial custody till October 6.
So far, Rhea along with her younger brother Showik Chakraborty, two of SSR’s house staff members – Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda, and several drug-peddlers, is currently under judicial custody. All of the accused have reportedly filed bail pleas in the NDPS case before the Bombay High Court, which is scheduled for hearing on September 23.
