Salman Khan is a known actor in B Town and is known all across the world. He was born 27th December 1965 and brought up at this place. Apart from actor he is also the TV personality, producer, singer and philanthropist. He is referred in the media – The Tiger of Bollywood, the King of Box Office and Blockbuster Khan, Sallu and Bhaijaan. He is a son of Salim Khan (screenwriter) and his two younger brothers – Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan are also actor, producer and director of B Town. He did his schooling from St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra in Mumbai while earlier he did his schooling Scindia School, Gwalior while he completed his schooling from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai but soon he dropped out to head for his career in Bollywood considering his strong background for the film industry.

He made his debut in acting in supporting role in 1988 with the movie Biwi Ho To Aisi, while the Sooraj Barjatya film – Maine Pyar Kiya was his second movie which gave him the lead role in it. The film was the big hit and gave him the award for the category for the Best Actor at Filmfare and other platforms. His next film is Baaghi: A Rebel for Love, Patthar Ke Phool, Kurbaan and Patthar Ke Phool in his initial days. He then got Saajan with Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt, which was a big hit in the B Town. However, his films in the early nineties (1992 to 1993) turned out to be a box office failures. The 1994 film – Hum Aap Ke Hai Kaun was a big hit that compensated his earlier releases.

Some of his recognized films since the 1994 to 2009 include Khamoshi, Jeet, Judwaa, Auzaar, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Hum Sath Sath Hain, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Tere Naam, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Mujh Se Shaadi Karogi, No Entry, Salaam-E-Ishq, Marigold, and Partner to name a few. Post 2010, some of his top grocer movies include Dabang which include both the prequel and sequel, Wanted, Ready, Ek Tha Tiger, Jai Ho, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick and the latest to release include Sultan. Apart from the films, he was also seen over the small screen, which include a couple of game shows as host including 10 Ka Dum, Bigg Boss, while seen in shows like Masterchef, KBC, Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega, CID, Little Champ and other shows.

He has earned huge with a number of endorsements for endorsing a number of brands, which include Campa Cola, Limca Soft Drink, Hero Honda, Double Bull Shirts, Thumps Up, Mountain Dew, History Channel, Yatra Channel, Suzuki, Wheel, Relaxo, Chlormint, Dixy, Ranbaxy, Astral Poly Technik, BMC, Astral Poly Technik Ltd, SF Sonic Batteries and the Dubai based fashion brand called Splash to name a few. Apart from brand endorsement, he is also involved in a number of charitable activities. He has founded his own NGO called Being Human which sells a number of products to raise money for the underprivileged children and other people. He has undertaken a number of educational and healthcare projects under his NGO banner to serve the society in different ways. He was even seen giving a good amount of charity amount from the profits he made from films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and other films.

He has been also the mentor for many actors and actresses in B Town including Daisy Shah, Zareen Khan, Sooraj Pancholi, Athiya Shetty and many in the industry giving a good rapport in media. Talking about his net worth Salman Khan is ranked seventh in Forbes’s first global list of highest-paid actors in the world, with earnings of US$33.5 million, which placed him higher than such Hollywood actors as Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Dwayne The Rock Johnson. As per the Forbes India, he was seen beating up the other actors topping the list. Talking about the controversies he has been a man of matters, his hit and run case in 2002, went on till 2015 wherein he was sentenced to five year imprisonment which was challenged in the higher courts to acquit him in the higher courts. Similarly, he was released by the court in the case of blackbuck killings in 1999 in the year 2016.  He made headlines for his tussle with Aishwarya Rai as she complained to police for harassment. Similarly, he was also trolled for his tweets on Yakub Menon and other people.
