Ranveer Singh: I Did My Best To Welcome Shahid Kapoor To The Team!
Sanjay leela Bhansali’s Padmavaat finally made its way to theater after facing lots of trouble. The film has not only impressed the audiences but also done exceptionally well. It made it to the 100 crore club. The team of three got lots of praises too, especially the Alaudding Khilji. Earlier while talking to leading daily, Shahid Kapoor said that how he felt like a newcomer on the set of Padmavaat.
Shahid Kapoor said that he was like an outsider while working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Padmavaat. He was quoted as saying, “ I’m used to being the favorite of all my filmmakers. This was the first time that I was like an outsider. When you work with a team that has worked together, you are kind of an outsider and it takes time for you to break through that barrier.”
“To be honest, I did my best to welcome him and did whatever I could do to be a supportive co-actor. But I think it’s got to do with the genre as well. Padmaavat is his first costume drama. So, a costume drama has its own set of unique challenges which I faced during Bajirao Mastani and it takes some time to get adapted to it. I think he is reacting to that.”
On work front, Ranveer Singh is going through a tranfomration for his next upcoming film in which he is paired opposite Alia Bhatt.
