Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest release ‘Kabali’ has turned as the highest first day earning movie of the year. Yes, you heard it right, the film has shattered few records on the opening day and will definitely create many more records in the days to come. Made on a big budget of 100 Cr, the film looks like to cross the 100 Crore Collection mark in mere 3 days.
In the Indian market, the first-day collection of the ‘Kabali’ is Rs.40 crore net approx, which is even higher than the first day earning of Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ (36.54 Cr). So, you can easily understand that Rajinikanth’s fan following is much bigger than Salman Khan. Its Rajinikanth’s magic only that his films are being screened as early as 4 am on Friday. Interestingly, all the shows of ‘Kabali’ is booked for this weekend in South India and overseas countries like Malaysia and Japan.
Though ‘Kabali’ did well in the South Indian circuits but it wasn’t able to breach in the Hindi-speaking northern and western circuits in India. In the Hindi-speaking states, it only catered mere Rs. 3 Cr which is less than the expectations. The makers might not worry for this because his south fan base is so big that ‘Kabali’ may turn out to be the biggest hit of the year, even sidelining ‘Sultan’ in the collection.
Directed by PA Ranjith, the film also stars Radhika Apte, Winston Chao, Dhansika and Dinesh Ravi. In the film, Rajinikanth is essaying the role of a Malaysian gangster, whose role is loosely based on a real-life gangster of Malaysia. The way film is running at the Box-Office, it eventually shatters many records, even some of Bahubali movie records.
Altogether, it is expected that till the end of the weekend the film will able to rake up 120 Cr at the Indian Box-Office. We can only say that nothing is impossible in the Rajinikanth’s World!
