Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 or Robot 2 is the costliest film ever made in India. The budget of the Robot 2 is higher than Bahubali 2, which is Rs. 350 crore. In comparison to that Bahubali 2, a budget was only Rs. 250 crore, which means Akshay Kumar's film has already beaten up the budget of S S Rajamouli's film. And when Rajinikanth teams up with Akshay Kumar, you always know it is going to be a bigger player. But having said that, 2.0 is not a big budget film by Hollywood standards. Rs 350 crore, when compared to a Hollywood film, is nothing, given today’s currency exchange rate. But if anybody can pull it off here, it’s Shankar." As per another trade analyst, Akshaye Rathi says that the movie is most expensive because it has used all sorts of creatures, VFX technology, and Robots in the movie. Apart from this, the combination of Akshay Kumar, A R Rahman, Shankar, and Rajinikanth have also made it more expensive. Here are some of the other reasons why this movie is so expensive: 1. Akshay Kumar charges around 45 crores for all his films, so you now know why this film is so expensive. 2. The makers have roped in international experts and technicians for doing all the stunts. One of the fighting sequence between Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth costs a sum of Rs. 20 crores. 3. Akshay Kumar's makeup artist Sean Foot took a hefty amount of 4 crores. It took almost 3 hours to transform Akshay's character into Dr. Richards. 4. The first look of Akshay and Rajinikanth was released in Mumbai. The mega event costs around 6 crores. 5.
