As we indulged into a deep conversation with him at the launch of his new venture Chandra Nandi on Star Plus, the 25 years old actor without mincing any words stated, “I want the world to recall me by my various characters. No one knows Rajat Tokas and he is not important enough to be remembered. But each of my characters should leave a mark on my audience’s mind. And that is what I intend to do. This is the reason why I choose to stay away from interacting with media and my viewers.”
When we mentioned that since he is a star, people want to know more about him, Rajat snapped back saying, “I am just an actor and not a celebrity. I am doing my job as any ordinary person and I do not find the need to make a hue and cry about it.”
Hmmm…point taken a young man.
Rajat, who rose to fame with Prithviraj Chauhan was much acclaimed for his role in Balaji Telefilms’ Jodha Akbar. The actor is back with Ekta Kapoor’s next historical outing opposite Shweta Basu Prasad on Star Plus.
