Raj Kumar Kapoor’s demise: Shah Rukh Khan remembers the man who made a ‘Fauji out of a boy’
We have all known that Shah Rukh Khan, before entering into the Bollywood Industry had made a debut on TV with his TV series Fauji! What got him fame and acknowledgement for his craft of acting was this TV series aired on Doordarshan channel and the person who has to be given the credits of identifying this talented actor is Raj Kumar Kapoor, the director of the 1989 TV series Fauji! The man who groomed and guided Shah Rukh Khan in his early days, Shri Raj Kumar Kapoor passed away a day ago, in Delhi.
Raj Kumar Kapoor’s son took his facebook to inform the people about his father’s demise. He wrote, “This is to inform you that our beloved Dad, Raj Kumar Kapoor (Colonel), has left his earthly body to go on a brand new adventure.” The cremation took place at Lodhi Crematorium at 3:30 pm. A fan club wrote on Twitter, “The creator of FAUJI serial on Doordarshan, Raj Kumar Kapoor (Colonel), has left his earthly body to go on a brand new adventure. The cremation will take place at the Lodhi Road Crematorium at 3.30 pm today. Shraddhanjali.”

Alongside an old photograph with him, Shah Rukh tweeted, “He loved me so much. Encouraged me. And today if I am used to being mollycoddled on sets it’s because of this man who made a ‘Fauji’ out of a boy, like his own. Will miss you Sir…always. May u find peace in ur new mission.”
