Raees VS Kaabil Day 8 Box Office Collection !
Raees, which became the first film to enter the Rs 100 crore club in 2017, has broken the January jinx and how! At the success party of the film, an elated Shah Rukh Khan said that the film had already performed better than he had expected it to. On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam’s Kaabil started off with lesser screens, but is giving Raees stiff competition. While Raees made around Rs 7 crore on day 8, Kaabil raked in Rs 5.70 crore, according to early estimates.
Shah Rukh Khan’s gangster film, which marked the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actor Mahira Khan, has taken the lead in the overseas market, although Kaabil will see a solo release in Pakistan (the first Bollywood film to be released since the ban on Indian films has been lifted), which might be a major contributor to its overseas revenue.

Shah Rukh Khan, who plays bootlegger-turned-MLA Raees Alam in the film, said that it was unfair to compare his film with the last releases of the other Khans, Salman and Aamir. He added that Dangal and Sultan were possibly bigger hits than Raees could be, and said that he was happy that his film was being well-received.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan is also happy with the performance of his film, which was his fourth highest opener at the box office. Given that his last film Mohenjo Daro did not fare so well in the face of a clash (it had clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Rustom), the actor is happy with Kaabil.
