Raees VS Kaabil Day 7 Box Office Collections!

Shah Rukh Khan’s star-power has clearly shown its strength at the box office, with Raees crossing the Rs 100-crore mark in its first week, while Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil is still falling short. Early estimates suggest that while SRK’s film raked in around Rs 10 crore on day 7, Hrithik’s revenge drama grossed around Rs 9.5 crore.

While the content-heavy Kaabil is now giving stiff competition to Raees despite having lesser screens and shows, the opening day lead of SRK’s film is proving difficult to close. SRK’s gangster film has raced ahead in the overseas market as well, although if reports are to be believed, Kaabil will release in Pakistan this week, ahead of Raees’s release next week. Given that Pakistan is a huge consumer of Bollywood films, Kaabil’s early release might be a boon for Hrithik’s film, especially because it is likely to be the first Bollywood film to be released after the lifting of the ban on Indian films.

Here is the day-to-day breakdown of Raees box-office collection:

Shah Rukh Khan plays gangster-turned-politician Raees Alam in his gangster drama, which is believed to be based on the life of Gujarati don Abdul Lateef, while Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the cop who wants to put an end to the expansion of his empire.

Meanwhile, Hrithik plays a blind man out to avenge the rape of his wife when the system fails him. Whenever Hrithik and his father Rakesh Roshan come together for a film, it has always been a success at the box office (with the exception of Kites). Kaabil is no exception, though the clash might cost them a chance to make it to the 100 crore club.
