Radhika Apte was quizzed about her leaked love-making scene from the film Parched. She slammed all controversies regarding the leaked scene and said such incidents do not affect her anymore. She even revealed that leak from the film Parched wasn’t the first time anything like that was happening to her.
The first incident was when a similar scene was leaked from the film Clean Shaven, for which she won the best actress award at the Tribeca Film Festival. She was continuously buzzed regarding the leaked scenes and she was horrified listening to the baseless questions from the media reporters. “I was really shocked and I couldn’t believe that people were making it bigger and bigger and they had no sensitivity of any sorts,” she said.
However, this time, when scenes from the film Parched were leaked, she was informed by a producer. “And he (the producer) sent me the clip with smiley faces, laughing faces. So I pitied him and this time to my surprise I was just not affected at all,” she said. She is of the view that the scene wasn’t exactly leaked. “That wasn’t leaked by the way. The film has released in many countries abroad and it’s also on the US Netflix,” she said. Radhika expects the “society to grow” and let go of the misogynistic attitude and learn to accept such unconventional films.
