Raabta Wins Court Case Against Magadheera
A few days back the makers of Magadheera filed a legal case of plagiarism against the makers of Sushant Singh Rajput’s Raabta. The makers claimed that Raabta has similarities with Magadheera which also has the same story of reincarnation. Sushant Singh Rajput cleared his point saying, “It is not a cliched reincarnation story. It’s a very modern take. There is a hero, heroine, a villain and they’re born again. I can make ten different films right now on paper which will have two brothers and a mother and the brothers are born again. It doesn’t mean that it’s Karan Arjun.”

Court has given the verdict today and finally, Raabta wins the legal battle. The makers confirmed the news saying, “RAABTA wins !!!! Magadheera withdraws.” Now it is clear that Raabta is not a copy of Magadheera. Bhushan Kumar, the producer of the movie said, “From day one we have maintained that our movie is not a copy of Magadheera and that there is only a reincarnation bit that has a similar theme but then it has been in so many other films too. There is nothing in common. We had a very strong argument in the court and all, and they also had an argument. However, I cannot comment on why they withdrew as it was a court matter, but they must have realised that both films are different, as we had submitted our script to them. Now at least one thing is clear that our film is not a copy!”
