Puneesh Sharma was the only commoners, who made it to the top 4. He was among the four finalists with Shilpa Shinde, Hina Khan and Vikas Gupta on recently concluded Bigg Boss 11. Shilpa Shinde won the show by defeating Hina Khan, whereas Puneesh ended up on 4th position.
After coming out of Bigg Boss 11 house, Puneesh Sharma admits that money can’t buy you fame but a career in showbiz business can. Puneesh belongs to a rich family in Delhi, who never had any issue with money. His Bigg Boss journey has also clearly stated that he was never looking for money instead he wanted to be famous. He also believes that it is important to make your own identity and a career in TV industry can help you achieve that.
When asked why he decided to participate in a reality show like Bigg Boss 11, he said to TOI,
“I always wanted fame. My family is very rich, but money can’t make you famous. It will make you popular for the wrong reasons…you will drive fast cars, attend parties, wear fancy clothes and travel the world! But that’s not why you should be famous. I wanted to be known for the right reasons and being part of a reality show did that for me — it gave me instant recognition. Also, I met the love of my life on the show.”
Puneesh made lots of headlines during his stay in Bigg Boss 11 house. He grabbed lots of headlines for his closeness with fellow contestant Bandgi Kalra, whom he met inside the Bigg Boss 11 house. He eventually fell in love with her. His PDA with Bandgi received lots of attention. People often branded it as cheap tactics to stay in the limelight, but Puneesh claims that his love for Bandgi was real. Talking about the same, he said,
“She is so beautiful. Where will I ever get a girl like her? People might say that she fell for my money, but I know that she really loves me. And if you feel that other couples on Bigg Boss were faking it, I would not know. All I can say is, we are not faking it. My parents are very happy about our relationship.”
Puneesh Sharma is looking to make his career in the TV industry. Talking about his future plans, he told the tabloid,
“From being a nobody, I have reached a position where everyone knows me. I would like to act in TV shows and films; this show is only a beginning, let’s see what lies ahead.”
