Nepal Has Banned PUBG After Finding That School Kids Are Addicted To It
Nowadays, online gaming addiction is claiming lives rapidly. The artificial intelligence games and challenges that force a participant to go to its very end are having a drastic impact on them.
Starting from less harmful gaming apps like Candy Crush, Subway Surfers to more games like Pokemon Go, Blue Whale Challenge, MOMO Challenge and now PUBG- have taken over the world.
Nepalese authorities have also banned internet and mobile service providers from letting people download PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The reason for this ban is to protect children and young people.
The move was been taken after Nepal Metropolitan Crime Division approached Kathmandu District Court and filed a PIL on Wednesday.
Chief Dhiraj Pratap Singh of the Metropolitan Crime Division says that they have received many complaints from parents, schools and associations of schools regarding the effects of the game on children.
“Parents and schools had complained that the game was affecting their children’s studies and making them more aggressive.
According to Dhiraj Pratap Singh, before taking the decision of ban, When they had consulted with psychiatrists, they also said that the violence in the game can make people aggressive in real life,
