Today Priyanak Chopra is not just a Bollywood actress but a global icon. Today she is ruling the world with her acting skills. After achieving tremendous success, Priyanka Chopra revealed that during her initial days in industry she was thrown out of the film because daughter of some influential man was recommended.
She recently opened to HT about her initial days in Bollywood and revealed,
“When I joined films, I was already winner of a beauty pageant and still had it a little easy. I got my first few films but I know that I was thrown out of the films because somebody else was recommended, who was somebody’s daughter. I didn’t know people, ki main dinner’s pe jaa rahi hoon and networking kar rahi hoon. I know that opportunities came to me because of merit. I know that opportunities were also taken from me because of these reasons”.
She further continued,
“When I entered Bollywood, everyone was somebody’s uncle or somebody’s daughter. It’s very difficult to get inside a production office if you are an actor from no [film] background. I know that it happened to me because I started like that”.
This revelation about her struggling days also explains why she chose to open her own production house in order to give a platform for all the deserving actors!
After two long years, Priyanka Chopra has finally singed a Bollywood film. In her upcoming film ‘Bharat’ she is paired opposite Salman Khan. Films also stars Tabu, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover. Movie is expected to release next year on Eid.
