Preity Zinta Made A Blunder While Congratulating India For Their Win In Australia, Got Brutally Trolled
Virat Kohli led Indian Team created history by winning first ever Test Series in Australia beating hosts by 2-1. Cheteshwar Pujara, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Kohli and Mayank Agarwal were instrumental in winning the trophy.
Congratulatory messages started pouring in from all around the world. From top political leaders and cricketers, everyone started wishing Team India on their historic win. Several celebrities from Bollywood also took to social media to wish Indian Team.
Preity Zinta also took to Twitter to congratulate Team India. However, she made a mistake that went viral on the internet. The actress deleted the Tweet after realizing the mistake but netizens picked up upon her previous Tweet. Her Tweet reads,
“Congratulations to the boys in blue for being the first Asian team to win a test match down under @cheteshwar1 take a bow #AUSvsIND #victory #ting #TeamIndia #IndianCricketTeam @BCCI”
If you read it carefully, you’ll realize the mistake. In the Tweet, Preity mentioned that India was the first Asian Team to win a test match rather than Test Series. She also mentioned Men in Blue, which is not the case as it was Test, not ODI and T20. Nevertheless, we understand what she wanted to tell but same can’t be said about netizens, as they brutally trolled her.
