Padmavati Row: Deepika Padukone’s Father Prakash Padukone Comes In Support Of His Daughter
Padmavati is the most anticipated film of this year, all thanks to grand and huge nature of the movie. The movie has been facing lots of problems from various groups all around the country. The problems around the film are not looking to cool down, as Karni Sena have been threatening makers and anyone supporting the film.
Now, Prakash Padukone has come out in support of his daughter Deepika Padukone over Padmavati controversy. In an interview with an online entertainment portal Pinkvilla, he opened up about these controversies surrounding Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus.
Talking about the same, he said to the online portal, “Controversies are a part and parcel of the movie industry and we do not pay much attention to these controversies as these things are not under our control. Whatever has to happen will happen. We will take things as they come.”
On being asked about his reaction to the Padmavati trailer, he said, “The trailer of Padmavati looks interesting and exciting. We are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie,”
In the meantime, the Karni Sena group has issued an open threat to the Bhansali and Deepika, as they want the film to get banned. They have even announced a bounty of Rs. 5 Crore for anyone, who chops off Deepika’s nose and beheads filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Recently, Deepika has said that no one can stop the movie from release. She further expressed her sadness saying that she is very sad and hurt with the amount of outrage the movie has received even before its release.
Padmavati is a period film based on the life of Rani Padmini. The movie is directed by ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and features Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to release on 1st December this year.
