The B’town diva, Deepika Padukone is all set to share screen with ‘Bahubali’ actor Prabhas in Ashwin Nag’s next directorial pan-Indian multilingual science-fiction project. The official announcement of the same has been made on Sunday by the film makers.
In February, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vyjayanthi Films, the official announcement of the project was made public through a special video. But on July 19, the makers revealed they’ve roped in Deepika Padukone opposite Prabhas.
Breaking the big news, Vyjayanthi Movies took to their social media and through a video announced the collaboration of these two big stars.
“As promised, here it is – our next big announcement! WELCOMING THE SUPERSTAR,” The post read along with the video.
This project will mark Deepika’s Telugu debut, which is scheduled to go on the floors next year. Deepika is all excited to share the screen with Prabhas for the first time. Tweeting about it, Deepika wrote, “Beyond Thrilled!Cannot wait for what we believe is going to be an incredible journey ahead…#DeepikaPrabhas @nagashwin7 @VyjayanthiFilms #Prabhas.”

While, the director of the movie Nag Ashwin shared his excitement saying, “I’m very excited to see Deepika play this character. It is something no mainstream lead has done before and will be quite a surprise for everyone. The pairing of Deepika and Prabhas will be one of the main highlights of the film and the story between them, I believe will be something audiences will carry in their hearts for years to come.”
Prabhas upcoming project ‘Radhe Shyam’ with director Radha Krishna Kumar is soon to be released. The film stars ‘Pooja Hegde’ in the main lead, where Prabhas will be seen playing the role of a palm reader.
Deepika on the other hand will be seen with husband Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s ‘83’ which is narrates India’s 1983 cricket World Cup victory.
The buzz of these two stars coming together for the ambitious project of the National Award winner, Ashwin Nag was taking round on internet for quite a while. The young and immensely talented maker of ‘Mahanati’, will surely make a blockbuster with these two talented actors.
