The two great Bollywood actors, Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan have worked together in three successful blockbusters Om Shanti Om(DP’s first film), Chennai Express, Happy New Year. In all three movies, we have seen their compatibility and how beautifully they portray romantic genre on the screen.
DP and SRK have always been a delight to watch together on the same screen. And we all would to love watch them again. So here it is, Deepika Padukone to Shah Rukh Khan’s Heroine in Anand L Rai’s upcoming movie.
Sources reveal, “Discussions are almost through and DP is likely to sign the film soon,” and also SRK plays a role of dwarf for the first time. However, Rai has made it clear it will be a full-fledged love story with a lot of romance, song-and-dance. While speculation was rife that Katrina Kaif had been approached for the film, it’s Deepika who will be on board, insists our source.
Interestingly, Anand Rai, who has worked on two films with Kangana Ranaut (Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel), chose to work with her rival DP for his big outing. And for us it will be pleasing to watch them together.
Although when Anand Rai was asked about the film and the star cast at the trailer launch event of Happy Bhaag Jayegi, he had said,“Haan, Shah Rukh Khan ke saath ek film ban rahi hai, lekin abhi tak film ke liye koi actress final nahi hui hai. Main abhi bhi script likh raha hoon (Yes, I am making a film with Shah Rukh Khan. However, the actress has not been finalised yet. I am also writing the script till now).”
