One of the finest Bollywood actresses, Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Raazi fame Meghna Gulzar directorial Chhapaak, which also stars TV actor Vikrant Massey. The movie, which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal is slated to release on January 10, 2020. However, it is revealed that actor Vikrant Massey was not the first choice of director to play the main male lead.

Deepika Padukone took her fans by surprise when she revealed that first look of Chhapaak on March 25. The actress looked completely unrecognizable in the first look of Laxmi so much so that it looked Laxmi herself was playing her character.
It is revealed that acclaimed actor Rajkumar Rao was the first choice to play Laxmi’s husband in her biopic. However, the actor was unable to take up the project owing to his date issues. Just recent, Stree actor revealed,
“I didn’t turn the project down, loved the script but my dates were messed up. I am personally looking forward to the movie. I kept on telling Deepika and Meghna that it’s my loss”
