Aanand L Rai can’t stop smiling! The successful filmmaker’s latest release Nil Battey Sannata, starring Swara Bhaskar, Ratna Pathak Shah, Riya Shukla and Pankaj Tripathi and directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has become one of the few films of Bollywood which has been declared tax free on the day of its release.
In a surprising move, Delhi and UP government announced Nil Battey Sannata going tax-free from day one (22nd April), in their respective states. After watching the poignant story of a mother and her daughter, Delhi and UP state authorities praised the movie for being an entertainer and socially relevant to our time and unanimously decided to make the film tax-free so that such heartwarming and inspiring stories can reach to maximum people.
The family entertainer has been creating positive buzz everywhere, especially on the social media platforms where the film critics and industry stalwarts including superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor among others couldn’t stop praising the movie and brilliant performances by the cast.
Synonymous with small-town romances and desi entertainers, Aanand L Rai says, “I’m grateful to Delhi and UP government for making Nil Battey Sannata tax free.
