As Narcotics Control Bureau’s alleged Bollywood drug nexus recent investigation only had female actresses’ names including; Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, among many others, speculations of some famous male stars to follow up NCB’s hit list also started to make rounds. Deepika’s name had cropped up in alleged drug syndicate after her ‘drug chats’ with talent manager Karishma Prakash, from KWAN firm came to the fore. Interestingly, Rhea Chakraborty’s talent manager Jaya Saha was also from KWAN and was a friend of Karishma. To note, Rhea’s viral drug chats were in conversation with Jaya and reportedly Deepika, Karishma and Jaya were also a part of a group that had some bosses and employees of KWAN, where Deepika and Jaya were the admin of the group named ‘DP-Ka-KWAN.’
On September 26, Deepika followed by Shraddha and Sara had arrived at NCB office to appear before the officials for questioning. The ‘Padmaavat’ actress’ questioning was reportedly done in two phases in first, she was questioned alone and later she was confronted with her manager Karishma about their alleged drug chat. Where Deepika told agency officials that ‘hash’ and ‘meal’ were code words for cigarettes, other actresses also denied ‘doing and dealing’ in drugs allegations.
