Naseeruddin Shah Serious Reasons for Doing Teraa Suroor And Welcome Back
The most respected actors of Bollywood, Naseeruddin Shah had already redefined the acting craft in Cinema. He crossed the borders of Parallel Cinema and made it big in the mainstream cinema. He loves to be in front of the screen and for upcoming actors, he is just the institution. Recently, Naseeruddin fans were shocked to see him doing senseless movies. At latest, he revealed the reason of being in all these flop films.
Naseeruddin Shah has started his career in 1975 with Shyam Benegal film ‘Nishant’ and goes to star in movies like ‘Junoon’, ‘Sparsh’, ‘Aakrosh’, ‘Bazaar’, ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’, ‘Paar’, ‘Ghulami, ‘Mirch Masala’, ‘A Wednesday!’,‘Ishqiya’ and more. He has proved his mettle of acting in all these movies but suddenly when he turns for a movie like ‘Teraa Suroor’, ‘Sona Spa’ and ‘Welcome Back’, people start doubting on him.
Well, in a recent interview when a journalist asked him, the reason behind signing movies like Teraa Suroor and ‘Welcome Back’. He has given an interesting piece of the answer. Naseeruddin Shah said, “I had very good reasons… a few hundred thousand reasons. You ask for satisfaction, you get satisfied – Financial satisfaction! (laughs). But what is worse than these movies… like Teraa Suroor or Welcome Back… are those movies that pretend to be meaningful, and you take them on and in two days you’re kicking yourself for picking them.”
Let me tell you, Naseeruddin Shah is one of those rarest actors who still finds solace in theatres. Despite being busy in films and promotions, he always remains active in theatres, which shows his unfathomable love for the art of acting.
Currently, Naseeruddin Shah is busy in the promotions of upcoming film ‘Waiting’, which also star Kalki Koechlin in titular roles. The film is all set to hit the theatres on May 27.
