Scroll down to read the full story.
Carole Adler is a mother of a 21-year-old son Taylor Thyfault, who was training to be a Colorado State Tropper. He was killed by a runaway driver during a police chase.
At 21, Taylor was about to complete his final stage of training with Colorado State Patrol.
His dream was to join the army and be the best for all those who have stood for him.
His mother was his best friend. They shared messages every morning. His mother used to talk to him via text messages when he was serving in the army.
Taylor Thyfault was on assignment with Trooper Clinton on a crash investigation on Colorado Highway 66 when he was struck in an unrelated accident by a suspect who was evading police.
He was declared dead at the scene, but he saved someone else even at his last stage. Before being hit, Taylor screamed at the truck driver to get out of the way. He managed to save the life of the tow truck driver. He was a true hero, who sacrificed his life to save someone else.
Carole Adler calls her son a hero, as he died doing what was most important to him.
After his death, her mother used to miss him and his text, which was a regular thing.
She started sending text messages to her son’s number once again pouring her hearts out.
A reply came from Sergeant Kell Husley of Greeley Police Department, who had the Tylor’s old number. When she got to know about all this, she told her story to him.
It is so touching. It must be an unbelievable feeling to know that her son’s number is active, that too with a person in uniform.
