Ever since Mohenjo Daro was announced, there were reports that its lead cast – Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde – will be seen sharing intimate scenes in the film.
While talking to the press, Pooja Hegde opened up on her kissing scenes with Hrithik Roshan in the film. She said she has shot for a kissing scene with Hrithik, but it wasn’t awkward because they were friends and share a great rapport.
Pooja, who has previously worked in south films, is making her acting debut in Bollywood with ‘Mohenjo Daro’.
“You always want it (kiss) to look good on screen as you can go wrong with stuff like that. I think we have got one of the best onscreen kisses in Mohenjo Daro,” Pooja said.
Even though the Central Board Of Film Certification is strict these days when it comes to love-making scenes or kissing or cuss words, Pooja is not worried about the fate of this scene.
“I was never intimidated (while doing kissing scene) as we were like friends. We never looked at it like it’s a kissing scene, we are doing it as our characters in the film. We shot the film over a big span of time so over the course of time we (she and Hrithik) became friends. By the time we started shooting the scene we had a comfort level,” she further elaborated.
This period film, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker is special in its own way. It is Hrithik’s comeback after two long years and he is paired alongside a fresh face, Pooja, which is always a plus.
“Mohenjo Daro” is scheduled for an August 12th release and will clash Akshay Kumar’s “Rustom” at the box office.
