MNS Threatens Kapil Sharma Over His ‘BMC Corruption’ Tweet, Comedian Clarifies!

On Friday, Kapil Sharma took to Twitter to vent out all his frustration saying he was asked to pay a bribe of Rs. 5 lakhs to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to get his office made. He tagged the Prime Minister of India and tweeted, “I am paying 15 cr income tax from last 5 year n still i have to pay 5 lacs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi.” https://twitter.com/KapilSharmaK9/status/774040562450178048 He made a sarcastic remark asking Narendra Modi, "Yeh Hain Aapke Achhe Din?" https://twitter.com/KapilSharmaK9/status/774045825764917248 Kapil Sharma made headlines after his sarcastic tweet and politicians joined in the controversy. Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis replied to Kapil's tweet and assured him that strict action will be taken against the culprit. https://twitter.com/Dev_Fadnavis/status/774093622098563072 Among all the chaos, Kapil Sharma was slammed on social media platforms by various users and he was issued threat from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) party. The party officials threatened him by saying that they won’t let him shoot in Mumbai if he does not prove that the allegations he levied on MNS official is true. An MNS official opened up about the incident saying, “Kapil Sharma said that a MNS worker asked for bribe to legalize his under construction building, we challenge him to prove his allegations. If he (Kapil Sharma) is unable to prove his allegations, then we won’t allow him to shoot in Mumbai till he apologises to us." The MNS general secretary Shalini Thackeray on Friday accused comedian Kapil Sharma of adding illegal storeys to his Andheri bungalow and destroying mangroves. "CM Devendra Fadnavis should not support Sharma... We will soon furnish evidence of how he has been breaking municipal rules to his benefit. Sharma is a liar," she said. Following all the ruckus, Kapil clarified his tweet saying, "I just voiced my concern on the corruption I faced with certain individuals..Its No blame on any political party be it BJP, MNS or ShivSena." Well, a simple tweet can invite a lot of fuss! We hope this matter gets resolved soon and the culprit, whosoever it might be, actually gets punished.
