Gender equality and pay disparity have become one of the most highly discussed topics all over the world. We have seen countless discussions on many platforms about how to bring the much-needed change.

Currently, Cricket is the most loved sports in India and male cricketers are earning lots of money through the sports. In fact, many male stars are listed in the list of top 100 richest sportspersons in the world. But, have you ever wondered why you never see any woman cricketers in that list?
Currently, Indian Women Cricket Team is playing the Asia Cup 2018 in Malaysia. Recently, India beat Malaysia by a huge margin in the first match. Star player Mithali Raj played a match-winning knock of 97 runs and got the Man of the match award.
However, everyone got furious after seeing the prize money she got after winning the MOM. Mithali received $250 (approx Rs. 16,000), whereas the male cricketers get $2500 (approx Rs. 1.60 Lakh) when they win the man of the match award.
The official Instagram page of Indian Cricket Team shared the picture with a caption that reads,
“A comprehensive 142-run win for India against Malaysia in their first game of the #AsiaCup @mithaliraj scored a 97*(69) to bag the player of the match award 💪😎👌”
