Manoj Bajpayee reacts to reports of him playing ‘Vikas Dubey’ in a film
Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee, on Friday, denied reports claiming that a film on Uttar Pradesh’s most wanted gangster Vikas Dubey, who died in a police encounter, is in the offing and he is playing the lead in it.
The rumours picked the pace soon after Vikas died in a dramatic police encounter while he was being taken to Kanpur from Ujjain.
Bajpayee shared the link of a news portal that gave this report saying, “Wrong News!”.
Producer Sandiip Kapur had also suggested that a film on Vikas Dubey should be made and Bajpayee should play the role of gangster in it.
“What has happened today in the encounter is beyond cinematic and dramatic experience. @BajpayeeManoj how about playing Vikas Dubey in your next? You’ll kill it! #VikasDubey #Encounter @DrKumarVishwas,” Kapur had tweeted but seems to have deleted the same after Bajpayee denied the report.

Vikas Dubey was the prime accused in the killing of eight policemen in Bikru village in Chaubeypur area of Kanpur last week. Don Dubey was since then absconding and was arrested from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. He was killed in a police encounter on Friday morning.
