90’s hot actress Mamta Kulkarni and her husband (alleged drug peddler) Vicky Goswami were arrested on a non-bailable warrant. If you don’t know the story, let us tell you. It so happened that Thane police found around 18.5 tonne of ephedrine drug worth Rs 2000 crore from Avon Lifesciences in Solapur last year. As per police, ephedrine was sent to a Kenya-based drug organisation headed by Vicky where it was used to make party-drug Methamphetamine. Thane police also arrested a Nigerian last year and got ephedrine from him.

The police have arrested over a dozen people in the case.
Vicky is the son of a retired police officer from Gujarat and was as a bootlegger.

The police have got full proof evidence now and a special NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) court declared Mamta Kulkarni and her husband as ‘proclaimed offenders’.
This means that the couple can be arrested within one month from anywhere in India, by any agency and their passports can be seized.
Special public prosecutor Shishir Hire said, “After the police files a compliance report in the court a month later, we will be in a position to seize their immovable property in India after a court order.’’
