Magadheera to RRR to Peddi: Ram Charan’s Most Powerful First Looks

Rangasthalam to Magadheera: Times When Ram Charan Leveled Up the Game of First Looks

It’s no secret that Ram Charan’s versatility speaks volumes. Adding to his appeal are his striking looks and willingness to experiment. Crafting a career spanning 18 years is no small feat, and throughout his journey, Ram Charan has consistently made bold style statements with his on-screen appearances.

Up next for the actor is Peddi, and his rugged first-look from the film has already sparked massive buzz even before its release. But this isn’t the first time the actor has gone all out with a transformative appearance!

In the iconic historical drama Magadheera, Ram Charan stepped into the role of a courageous warrior. To stay true to the character, he sported medium-length locks, a stubble beard, and a deep handlebar moustache. As an unsung hero, he left no stone unturned in elevating the character’s impact through his facial appearance and warrior attire.

In the 2014 release Yevadu, Ram Charan adopted an urban, contemporary look. On-screen, he appeared in stylish and cool outfits—sometimes in casual T-shirts and jeans layered with jackets, and other times in breezy ensembles like denim shirts and pants. He enhanced these looks with scarves and eyewear, adding to the modern vibe.

In Rangasthalam, Ram Charan sported a look reminiscent of Peddi, albeit with a less rugged and more rooted effect. His appearance featured a long-grown beard and side-combed hair, grounded in regional flavor. His outfits reflected a fusion of modern and traditional South Indian styles, aligning perfectly with the film’s setting.

In Dhruva, his look bore similarities to Yevadu. He went clean-shaven with only a sleek moustache, donning crisp shirts and pants, often accessorized with stylish eyewear.

In RRR, Ram Charan adopted a thick, dense beard and moustache, paired with a neatly tamed hairstyle. He mostly appeared in classic shirts and pants, complemented by broad shoulder straps as part of his uniformed look.

As Ram Charan now prepares for Peddi, he has once again surprised audiences with his raw, rustic transformation. This time, he sports a rugged beard, disheveled hair, and accessorizes with small hoop earrings and an eye-catching nose ring. Ditching his usual polished charm, he embraces a more earthy aesthetic with casual printed shirts and pants, proving once again his commitment to going unconventional when the role demands it.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi also stars Janhvi Kapoor alongside Ram Charan. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. It is slated for theatrical release on March 27, 2026.
