M.S. Dhoni Biopic BANNED In Pakistan!

The MNS recently issued a diktat asking all Pakistani artistes to leave India within 48 hours, or else “face the consequences”. Their campaign also targeted two of Pakistan’s most famous faces in the Indian entertainment industry at the moment – Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan.

It emerged that incidentally, Fawad Khan had already left India a while ago: he is expecting his second child and wanted to be with his wife at this time.

At this time, ‘Pink’and ‘Banjo’ are both playing in Pakistani theatres. However, Hindi films have run into trouble in Pakistan from time to time, with several being banned for content deemed contentious/sensitive. The last Bollywood film to be banned there was the John Abraham-Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Dishoom’.

‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ is the biopic of cricket icon Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Sushant Singh Rajput plays the title role, with Neeraj Pandey as the director. Fox Star Studios is producing the film. It releases worldwide tomorrow!

Meanwhile, the VHP demanded a ban on a Shafqat Amanat Ali concert in Bengaluru, calling it an ‘insult to Indian martyrs’.
