The movie was liked by the critics and also did well at the box-office. It won the Best Feature Film in Hindi award at the 64th National Film Awards. The special jury of the National Awards also had Sonam Kapoor’s name mentioned as she played the role of Neerja Bhanot.
Bling Entertainment Solutions Ltd, produced the film and had some contract signed with the family of Neerja Bhanot. The contract read that Bling will share 10 percent of the Box Office collections with Neerja’s family and Neerja Bhanot Trust. The family has accused them for breaching this contract. Aneesh Bhanot- brother of Neerja told IANS, “I will not comment on this issue at this stage. All I can tell you is that we will not tolerate injustice.”
Sources say that legal notice has been served to the producers already. Aneesh did not talk much about the case saying the family lawyer will be telling the exact details regarding this case. If nothing happens even after filing case, Bhanot’s family is going to approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
