In an Interview with Tellychakkar team:
Every time we meet Siddhant Karnick, he mesmerizes us with his dashing looks and personality. The actor looked perfectly royal in his reel wedding avatar. Siddhant, who is known to be very well-mannered, greeted us with a lovely smile and a warm welcome on the sets of Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.
In a freewheeling chat, he spoke about the show, to-be-partner, reality shows and more. Read on.
It’s a dream come true to play the role of Ranaji
I am glad to be a part of ETRETR. It’s a dream come true to play the role of Ranaji, which has many shades in it. From lover guy to mysterious ideal man, I am enjoying every bit of it.
Wedding sequences are boring
I don’t really enjoy dressing up and there is not much action and activity happening. Although it is a good break, you get bored with elaborate wedding sequences.
Drashti is a master of techniques in acting
Since the first day, Drashti has never made me feel like she is a huge star. Right after the ETRETR pilot shoot, she invited me for her sangeet, which was very nice of her. She is a master of techniques in acting. I have learned a lot from her.
I don’t believe in a grand wedding
I prefer an intimate wedding. I don’t believe in obligation where people take lot of pain to come for your wedding just for a hand shake and a photo with the couple.
I never take pressure of TRPs
I don’t take TRP pressure as it’s not on my hand. And it’s pointless to take pressure as there are many people working hard for a show so that stress doesn’t come on us.
Combination of good script and money matters to me
You ask me to do an item number or reality show, I am open doing that as well. But you will have to pay a dirty amount that I just cannot ignore.
My to-be partner should be adventurous
My to-be partner should be adventurous, down to earth, without hang ups, adaptable, and definitely not a kind who would pick her nose in public. I am a full package, so I deserve the same! (laughs).
