In aftermath of Pulwama terror attack, The Kapil Sharma Show has landed itself in the midst of controversy. After Navjot Singh Sidhu, host Kapil Sharma has started a whole new controversy with his statement supporting Sidhu.
While reacting to the catastrophic terrorist attack that took place in Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir, Sidhu tried to save Pakistan saying that a nation can’t be blamed for the act of a handful of people. This statement created a huge outrage, where people demanded his removal from the popular comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show. Sidhu was removed from the show with Archana Puran Singh as his replacement.
However, as the matter seemed to be settling down, Kapil Sharma came out in support of Sidhu. Kapil told that focus should be on actual matters and sacking of Sidhu from the show won’t solve any real issue. He also added that such campaigns are carried out to misguide people from the real issue. Ever since he made this statement, people are slamming Kapil left, right and center with #BoycottKapilSharma trending on Twitter for a whole day.
Finally, Kapil’s fellow comedian Krushna Abhishek who is also part of The Kapil Sharma Show Season has reacted to this whole issue. On being asked about the same, he said that he was not aware of what Kapil said and the social media campaigns against Sidhu and Kapil.
When asked about Archana Puran Singh replacing Sidhu, Krushna said that she has shot for a couple of episodes. He added that he’ll be able to say more only after taking to the channel, as Archana has already said that she has not signed a full contract as of now.
On being asked about the complete ban on Pakistani artists by FWICE and AICWA, Krushna added that he completely supports this decision and also appreciated Salman Khan for removing Atif Aslam from his next film.
