In the earlier days of the entertainment industry in India, actors refrained from performing their stunts themselves. But with time, the actors, in order to explore more and experiment with their work, performed without a body double and not just did their own stunts but also excelled at it. We are in the era, wherein even actresses daringly perform their own stunts. The gorgeous B-Town ladies not only charm the audience with their fine acting skills, but also prefer doing powerful action scenes themselves in their films. Their dedication, efforts, hard work and passion to outdo themselves with each film has enthralled the audience and the ladies have certainly made a mark for themselves in the industry with their power-packed performances. Let us take a look at some of the stunning ladies of the tinsel town who have excelled in performing high octane action sequences in their films : 1. Deepika Padukone : We all remember Sanjay Leela Bhansali's grand blockbuster movie, Bajirao Mastani, wherein Deepika captivated the audience with her power-packed action sequences. She even shot a war sequence wearing 30 kilograms of armour. With the way, Deepika donned the look of a warrior, she left all her fans awestruck. 2. Sonakshi Sinha : Sonakshi Sinha starrer Akira released couple of days ago and the Dabangg lady is seen performing powerful action scenes in the film. Akira was based on the concept of women's safety and with the way Sonakshi has portrayed her character on-screen she can definitely be considered the role model of modern women. It is heard that Sonakshi Sinha will also be performing stunts in Force 2 which also features John Abraham wherein the gorgeous lady will be playing the role of a special agent. 3. Priyanka Chopra : Priyanka has outshined everyone when it comes to playing intense and extraordinary roles in the films. She never lets go of any opportunity that would require her to do some high octane action sequences. We have seen her performing fight scenes in the films like Don 2, Mary Kom and Jai Gangaajal and we can say she is made for the highly powerful roles in the industry. The Hollywood television series, Quantico features Priyanka in the role of a promising FBI Agent and we can see her performing numerous action scenes herself. Priyanka is considered one of the toughest actresses the world has today. 4. Taapsee Pannu : The stunning Taapsee Pannu always prefers doing her stunts on her own in her films. She had performed an action scene in the film Baby which had amazed the audience all over. She's one complete badass woman. 5. Jacqueline Fernandez : Doesn't the picture remind you of the fencing scene of Jacqueline from the film Race 2? Well, this scene was performed by the actor herself. Yes! You heard it right. She did the action sequence without a body double. Impressive! In 2015, Jacqueline featured in a British horror thriller film, Definition Of Fear, wherein Jacqui actually performed some stunts herself. Now that's like a kickass lady! 6. Katrina Kaif : If you're thinking why the glamdoll of the industry is featured in here, let me remind you of the films wherein Katrina Kaif performed the action sequences herself. In her films like, Bang Bang, Ek Tha Tiger, Phantom and Dhoom 3, she has actually done the stunts without a body double and that's certainly admirable.
