It all started when Sara Ali Khan admitted on Karan Johar’s shat show- Koffee with Karan that she wants to date Kartik Aaryan. After that while promoting Simmba, Sara showed her liking towards the actor and recently a video clip went viral on social media where Sara’s Simmba co-star Ranveer Singh spotted introducing Kartik Aaryan to Sara. There has been a buzz stating that Imitaz Ali is planning the sequel of 2009’s hit film- Love Aaj Kal with this trending couple.

2018 was one successful year for Sara Ali Khan and Kartik both. A report by Filmfare states that Sara and Kartik being finalized for Love Aaj Kal 2 whereas the sources close to director Imtiaz Ali completely trashed the news related to the sequel of Love Aaj Kal saying that, “Where did this come from? I don’t think Love Aaj Kal has any potential for a sequel. Imtiaz has entirely different plans altogether and neither Sara nor Kartik features in any of it.”
On work front, Sara made her big Bollywood debut with Kedarnath which did great business at box-office. Also she is busy promoting her second film- Simmba which also stars Ranveer Singh whereas Kartik Aaryan is busy filming Luka Chuppi which will also star Kriti Sanon and Aparshakti Khurana.
