Eid Is Owned By Salman Khan: Karan Johar
Bollywood is owned by Khans and Kapoors and without them, we can’t even imagine Hindi films. Khans and Kapoors dominate the Box-Office and they release their movies on festive seasons. If we talk about Salman Khan, he mostly releases his movies in Eid time. From last 10 years, he uses to release his films during Eid and all of his movies turns a Box-Office hit. At latest, Karan Johar even says that Eid is owned by Salman Khan and so he couldn’t even think of releasing his movie at that time or ever imagine a clash with Salman Khan.

At a trailer launch of Badrinath Ki Dulhania, when Karan Johar was being asked about releasing his film during Eid, he said,
“I don’t want to release films during Eid. That is owned by Salman Khan… We are here to release films so that we can optimize numbers. We have to look at who is releasing a film before and after us and choose a right date accordingly.”
He also goes on to say,
“We have to see a lot of verticals before releasing a film. We have to strategize a release date, the post work of a film is very critical. The release date is becoming more challenging and we toy about it a lot.”
