Kapil Sharma’s ANGRY Reaction Against Padmavati Protestors Will Make You Respect Him Even More
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’ is facing lots of problems. The movie has been surrounded by several controversies, ever since the shooting of the film started. The movie gets into some new problems every passing day. The movie is unarguably the most controversial films ever made in Indian cinema. The problems for the movie are not looking to end anytime soon.
The protest against the movie is taking a nasty and ugly turn every passing day. The protest reached such level that they have issued a bounty for anyone, who chops off Deepika Padukone’s head. If that was not enough, someone else announced a bounty for anyone, who would behead filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika.
You may think that would be enough, but you are highly mistaken folks! Recently a dead body with Anti- Padmavati slogan was found at Jaipur’s fort. The note read, “We don’t burn effigies, we kill.”
However, amidst chaos, many popular B-Town celebs have come out in the support of the film and the star cast. Now, ace comedian Kapil Sharma has voiced his opinion in the support of ‘Padmavati’.
During an interview with leading daily Indian Express, the popular comedian said:
“Actually I’m really confused about it. Some say Censor Board has seen the film, some say they haven’t… so what is the reason? Basically, the community has raised the objection saying the film will hurt sentiments.. But the threats are completely wrong. It’s a democratic country, you can keep your point of view. But you cannot chop off someone’s head. At one moment, you are saying Deepika Padukone has made the country proud, you talk about women empowerment… I am sure you (pointing towards the journalists) would have got hurt too. Everyone is hurt because of these statements. As far as the release of the film is concerned, CBFC should see it (the film). If they find something objectionable, they are a government department. Rest, the threats are wrong.”
On the professional front, Kapil Sharma is currently busy in the promotional activity of his upcoming film titled ‘Firangi’, which is scheduled to release on December 1st this Friday. The movie features Kapil Sharma, Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill in the lead roles.
However, there is no news about the release of Padmavati, which was originally slated to release on December 1st. The makers decided to postpone the movie after facing the wrath of several groups and their members. When Deepika Padukone was asked about how she feels about the current situation, she said, “It would be nicer to feel safer or protected at this point”.
Padmavati is an upcoming period film directed by ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie is based on the life of Rani Padmavati. The film features Deepika Padukone in the title role along with Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
