She also paid visit to Kashi Vishwanath Temple to seek blessings. When asked about her role in the movie, she said, “The Queen of Jhansi believed that life without dignity is equivalent to death and that’s why I totally relate to the character. It holds true in today’s world too.”
By the end of the evening, lyricist Prasoon Joshi recited a sorrowful poem celebrating the spirit of Lakshmi Bai. Prasoon Joshi also wrote the script of the movie along with veteran writer V Vijendra Prasad. In the event Kangana’s mother Asha was also present.
The epic film is directed by Krish and all set to hit the theatres on 27th April 2018.
