We all have witnessed the way Kajol has supported her husband, Ajay Devgn during all times and especially when the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay clash made headlines. Well, for now, she seems optimistic about the film’s business and thinks it will be appreciated by the audience and the critics as well.
Kajol says, “I think it’s really amazing to see the kind of response we received for the trailer. Thankfully, we have a very nice product (Shivaay) in front of us. I think the film will speak for itself and is going to be better than the trailer.”
Shivaay features Ajay Devgn, Erika Kaar and Sayyeshaa Saigal in the lead roles and is slated to release on Diwali, October 28th, this year.
Kajol went on to praise the Ajay Devgn‘s production venture, Parched as well.
Talking about Leena Yadav‘s directorial she said, “Honestly I didn’t expect that I would love the film so much. I read the script so I knew what it is about. After watching the film, I couldn’t remember the names of the actresses as I was so engrossed into their portrayal. I just came out only with the characters in my head. I think that’s the best compliment for any actor.”
Parched revolves around the life of four ordinary women who try to break free from the age old traditions and customs to celebrate their womanhood and newfound freedom. Based on the rural landscape in Rajasthan, the film showcases the hardships that women face and how they carve their journey to freedom struggling through the boundaries. The film features Tannishtha Chatterjee, Radhika Apte, Surveen Chawla and Leher Khan in lead roles.
Well, for now, let us all wait for the release of Shivaay and hope it is as promising and intriguing as the trailer!
