The best kind of sequels are one which take a story forward, and not present the same story in a recycled form. ‘Kahaani 2‘ is one such trailer that, much like ‘Kahaani’, piques your interested right from the beginning.
The reason for this is familiarity but not over-familiarity.
This is the same woman who took us on a wild goose chase around Kolkata in the first film. I still remember how popular ‘Kahaani’ was. It was made at a shoe-string budget of Rs 9 crore and managed to gross close to 75 crores at the domestic box office.
The reason for this is because Sujoy Ghosh had a solid story in hand, and a great actor in Vidya Balan.
Four years after ‘Kahaani’, Sujoy Ghosh is ready with the film’s sequel, ‘Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh’, the trailer of which was unveiled recently.
