Vidya Balan starrer movie has raked up 4.25 crore on Friday, 5.79 crores on Saturday, and 6.93 crores on Sunday. Overall, the film has earned Rs. 16.97 crore over 1235 crore.
As we all know that demonetization would affect the movie business but the director of Kahaani 2 is not agreed with it. He said, “I don’t think demonetization will affect my film. It’s all about priority so if people would really want to watch it they will definitely go to theaters. It doesn’t matter if there is a currency problem in the country.”
When asked about Vidya Balan, Sujoy Ghosh also said, “I don’t think one can question her talent. Even her performance in the so-called bad films was better than of lot of people I know. Sometimes we all go wrong in choosing scripts. Even I went wrong with Home Delivery, Aladdin. I think she chose to do ‘Kahaani’ with the same instinct as other films. Nobody knows whether a film will work or not.”
