John Abraham And Saif Ali Khan Coming Together For Nikkhil Advani’s Next On Batla House Encounter

John Abraham is all set to star in Nikkhil Advani’s next film based on Batla House encounter. He will be playing the role of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, the recipient of eight President Gallantry Awards. The movie will start rolling in September this year.

According to the reports of entertainment daily Mumbai Mirror, director Nikkhil Advani is looking to wrap up the movie in 50 days. The movie will be shot in Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow and Nepal. John said that he was looking to play the role of DCP Sanjeev Kumar. Talking about the same, he said, “We have yet to meet but I’ve been devouring all the material on him, and from what I’ve read, he seems like a humble man with an interesting backstory.”

Talking about working with Advani, he added, “-Day has put him in a different space and after Madras Café and Parmanu, I understand that space too…. The biggest challenge will be to find the balance between duty and country, that fine line Sanjeev Kumar Yadav walk so perfectly and project it on screen.”

Earlier in March, Advani had said that he had acquired all the permission for the movie. To uninitiated, the encounter took place in September 2008 against Indian Mujahideen terrorists in the Batla House, Delhi.

Saif Ali Khan has already been finalized to play the role of encounter specialist Mohan Chand Sharma, who led the encounter and was shot dead during the same.
