Janhvi Kapoor Recalls Huge Fight With Mom Sridevi
Legendary actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor has already impressed the audience with her performances. She got candid about her late mother Sridevi. A bittersweet memory passed of Sridevi who passed away in 2018.
On the talk show Feet Up with the stars with Anaita Shroff Adajania, Janhvi revealed that she has wanted to be an actress for as long as she can remember. “It was always the dream,” she said.
Janhvi also recalled the time she had a huge argument she had with Sridevi and was in tears. “I remember this one incident. This was a little after I told mom I wanted to act. We had an argument about something and I started crying a lot,” she said. I was really crying and she looked at me and said – “You look good when you cry. It’s good for an actor. I feel bad for you already”. And I was like, mom, you really need to feel bad for me now. Not just from an actor’s point of view.
Unfortunately, Sridevi passed away before Janhvi’s debut film, Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak, hit the theatres. Janhvi Kapoor displayed immense professionalism when she returned to the sets and resumed shooting just days after the tragic loss.
Janhvi revealed that Dhadak “saved her in many ways”. She said, “If it wasn’t for coming back to the sets of Dhadak or being able to act, I think it would have been much tougher than what it is now. I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to work in the film and act. It saved me in many ways.”
