Finally Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer movie Jagga Jasoos finally released on Friday i.e 14th July 2017. Fans are quite excited to see Ranbir and Katrina on the same screen after many years. Talking about the opening of the movie, it opened on an average. It was released on 1800 screens and it had an occupancy of 20-25% in the morning and it increased to 30-35% by evening on day one. So, on its first day, the movie collected Rs 8.57 crore at the box office. Trade analyst took to Twitter revealing the collection. He twitted, “#JaggaJasoos Fri Rs 8.57 crore. India biz.”
Many trade analysts have earlier predicted that it would collect Rs 12-15 crore on its first day. But it failed to meet the expectation. Till now it has got mixed reviews from the critics as well as fans. There might be many factors of its low collection but only one day has gone and it might earn good amount over the weekend. It may collect 30-35 crore over the first weekend. The movie is made on a budget of Rs 110 crore and after the first-weekend collection, we can predict whether it would be able to enter the 100 crore club or not.
Talking about the story of Jagga Jasoos, it is the story of Jagga aka Ranbir Kapoor who go in search of his missing father. His journey with Shruti (Katrina Kaif) to solve the mystery behind his missing father is the whole film about.
