Filmmakers are now shifting their gear from Rom-Com Bollywood movies to some serious Cinema. Now they have realised that they have a fear of losing audience to Hollywood movies and South Movies. This year was also opened a new chapter of Biopics. ‘Airlift’, ‘Neerja’ and now upcoming ‘Sarbjit’. The first two has already won the audience heart with tear-dropping inspirational stories and now ‘Sarbjit’ is on its way to release. Since last few years, biopic movies are gaining momentum in India. ‘No One Killed Jessica’, ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, ‘Mary Kom’ are some successful examples of Biopic movies. These content-based movies have earned good bucks at the Box-Office which made Filmmakers realised the worth of Biopic movies.

According to Reports, Marathi Director Pramod Gore is planning to come up with a movie based on Abdul Kalam’s life. The filmmaker also met Kalam’s brother to understand the insights of Kalam’s life. He even bought all 22 written works by Kalam.

Gore is currently in the talks with ‘Inferno’ actor Irrfan Khan as he feels that he is the perfect person to portray Abdul Kalam’s role. Interestingly, Irrfan has already worked in a biopic ‘Paan Singh Tomar’ where he played a role of a champion-turned-dacoit. The film went on to win the Best Feature Film and Best Actor at the 60th National Film Awards 2012. We just wish that Irrfan does play this role as he is certainly the perfect choice for the maker’s point of view.
