The video is going viral on social media, which has created outrage among the people. The airline company has fired the employee seen in the video and apologized for the shocking behavior.
In the video, a man identified as Rajeev Katyal is being dragged and thrashed by the employee of IndiGo flight. It is believed that the fight begins between the ground staff and Katyal after the staff objected to him of taking shade under plane’s wing while he was waiting for the carrier bus. Mr. Katyal objected to the staff and said ‘F**ck Off’, which didn’t go down well with the staff and started thrashing him.
One thing is sure that the reaction of the airline staff is shocking, to say the least. First, the staff said passenger to “abuse according to his age”, after that they bar him from boarding the bus. On top of that, the staff push and even throttle Mr. Katyal.

According to the report of a leading daily TOI, the incident took place on 15th October when 6E 487 flew to Delhi from Chennai. The most shocking development is sacking of employee Montu Kalra, who shot the video and acted as a whistleblower. The airline company sacked the whistleblower instead of the staff that was thrashing a passenger.
Union Civil Aviation minister Jayant Sinha has condemned the shocking events by IndiGo Crew and expresses his displeasure in a series of Tweets.

IndiGo airline has issued a statement undersigned by president and Whole Time director Aditya Ghosh. The statement says, ” Treating our customers with respect is core to what we do. Every day we take tens of thousands of happy customers to where they need to get to. It is for this reason that customers choose IndiGo more number of times than any other airline in the country. An incident happened in Delhi airport which is entirely the opposite of this and against what we stand for at IndiGo. The video of this incident came to our attention and we took action.”
