For Shahid Kapoor, Shaandaar spells a lot of firsts. He says, “It’s the first time I will be acting with Alia Bhatt or working with Amit Trivedi. Also, it’s my sister’s (Sanah) debut film. So yes, it is a very special film. Also, Vikas Bahl was the most-loved director last year and Shaandaar is his baby. We’re following his footsteps and he has a vision for the film. It should be out in September.”
After Shaandaar, Sasha will be seen working with Alia again in Udta Punjab. “It’s not ideal for two actors to do back-to-back films together, but then Shaandaar and Udta Punjab are like black and white — completely different ends of the spectrum. Also, Alia’s a great actress, so I’m just happy to be working with her. She has given so much to Udta Punjab. I feel it’s great that an actor of her ability came on board,” he said.
When asked about his upcoming wedding though, the actor remained as elusive as always. “There is a lot of speculation and people seem to know more than I do at the moment! We will reveal details when the time is right,” he said.
